Shawn Childs is a native of Warren, Arkansas. He graduated with distinction from Yale College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Then he received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Harvard Law School. He is licensed in the states of Texas and Arkansas and has practiced law for over 20 years in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is currently a partner at Walker & Childs, PLLC.
Mr. Childs handles civil litigation and appeals in employment discrimination, civil rights, personal injury, probate, contracts, and education matters. The bulk of his practice has been the representation of employees in employment discrimination cases at all levels.
He has appeared in state courts in Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi, and federal courts in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He also has practiced before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).
In 2020, the magazine Arkansas Money & Politics named him as one of the Legal Elite, its list of top 100 lawyers in the state of Arkansas.
